Gain personal access to greater energy and power.
To create time for practice, there has to be a part of you that is more important than anything else. If you are new, simply show up to a class and follow along as best as you are able ~ Bravo!
Class pricing is $10-$20, give as you are inclined. My desire is to make this practice affordable. No one turned away for lack of funds.
SPECIAL EVENT
Spring Forth! The Vernal Equinox
Saturday, March 21st ~ 11:30 to 1:00 p.m.
New Renaissance Bookshop ~ 1338 NW 23rd
Celebrate the arrival of Spring by connecting with the rising energy in your own body. Our focus will be on our connection to this season through the element of Wood: growth and beginnings. The spiritual aspect of Spring is the nourishment of our original vision and retrieval of childhood gifts. The organs associated with this season are the Liver and Gallbladder. We will discuss signs of imbalance in these organs and then move through some simple, meditative Qigong forms to encourage harmony and health, while also building immunity and removing toxins.
Handouts provided; chairs available. I invite you to wear something GREEN – the color of Spring. Register here. $25

With support from Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon
For those dealing with Parkinson’s Disease, Qigong is particularly supportive. Studies show that this moving meditation helps improve balance, stability, and gait issues, helping to reduce the risk of falls. The gentle movements are coordinated with breath and intention to help loosen muscles, combat rigidity, and develop more flexibility. Increase circulation and mental clarity, while developing relaxation techniques. Movements can be performed while seated or standing. Please share this if you know of someone who is dealing with this central nervous system disorder. Here is a link to a paper from the National Library of Medicine, showing the beneficial effects of Qigong.

CLASS PROTOCOL: Classes start promptly, so allow time for parking, settling in, etc. Respect your healing time by being ready before the start of class. If you are running late, simply enter discreetly.
It is preferable to practice on a relatively empty and un-caffeinated belly so that the natural energy is more available.
Wear comfortable layers and arrive unscented, phones silenced. You are welcome to wear socks or bare feet. Chairs are provided at all studios.
Because each of us is unique, each will respond differently to this energy practice. Bring your beginner’s mind and know that we benefit more from practice with a group.
Private tutoring sessions are also available – whether you are new to the practice and wish to get more familiar prior to joining a class, or whether you simply wish to receive more direct feedback from your own existing practice. I am here to help. Rate is $90 for a 75 minute session.
